Some people taking levodopa notice their symptoms return before it’s time for their next dose. This is called "wearing off." Depending on the levodopa dose you’re taking and the side effects you’re experiencing, STALEVO can be used to replace carbidopa/levodopa when the benefits of levodopa are wearing off.

STALEVO can also be used instead of carbidopa/levodopa and COMTAN by patients taking those medicines as separate tablets. Please ask your healthcare professional if STALEVO is appropriate for you.

What can STALEVO do for me?
STALEVO contains entacapone, which helps levodopa last longer. People who take STALEVO may have better symptom control for longer periods of time between doses, which may improve their daily activities. For example, STALEVO may provide you with the following benefits:
